bah. I gotta figure out how to maximise the use of my bladder in the fuel tank. I drove around on the blinking light for 13 kms.

Just got my first 600 mile tank (606) which equated to 56.6 mpg. Not sure what I can do to increase on that, life time is currently 52.2 trouble is I keep having to do fast motorway trips which drags it down. Weather is good so not looking forward to the cold, although I have ordered a EBH.

    56.6 imp or US MPG?

600 miles is pretty good. That's over 100 miles more than my tank. You guys don't have the bladder so you can easily run the tank down and eek out 1000+ kms.

I averaged about 48 over the last three tanks. I just put my tire pressure at 42/40 (was around 30) and the current tank is at 52 at the 3/4 mark.

That is US mpg, When I filled up I put in 40.4 litres the tank is said to hold 45litres. I was down to the last bar but it was not flashing. So I may have had about another 30 miles left.

How people get to a 1000 mile tanks I do not know <_<

ahh ok. Slightly better than my last tank :).

Hmm that's weird. Toyota usually sounds the "Low Fuel" warning light when there's 10 litres left in the tank. I'm surprised you filled 40 litres without the light blinking. Oh well, you might get 700 miles this time around.

I'm still aiming for my first 900kms (still lower than your last tank at 600 miles)...

oh and as for the 1,600km (1000 mile) tanks, I think they "cheated" and put in > 45 litres.

Hold on a minute, I hear you saying. The tank's rated at 45 litres. How can you put in more? Beats me. They tilt the rear left wheel and they refuel and they can stuff 60 litres in.
