Thanks, I have been shopping for new car. Dreaming of great mpg and cargo room I learned about the Prius V. I have been reading the forums for over a month now hoping to find out more about this new prius. I love my girlfriends 2003 prius. Most of my dealers around here think they will not have them in stock till December or as late as February. I think the dealers need to read this forum.

    Lucky couple!

The v is an excellent car. I just hope Toyota markets it correctly so people will understand how it out competes the crossover vehicles on the market.

Lucky! That should've been me! I've been calling dealers on this since June!

Dianne, any word on when "mine" will arrive at your dealership?

    Eagerly awaiting word :)

Piercey Toyota in Milpitas CA said they were supposed to get the v's on 10/21, but there weren't enough to dole out to all Bay Area dealerships, so it's now 10/28 for first deliveries.

Great looking car! I'm smitten. Can't wait to see one in person.

Could this be a great alternative to Camry? 44 MPG city! That's 19 more than Camry city EPA!

It's $23.4k for Camry LE vs. $27.2k for the v Two. Some will get v and it will add to Prius #s.

If that car can follow the route marked on the map in the video then that is one helluva car.

Keep in mind that it's $25k for the Camry LE Hybrid and $27k for the XLE Hybrid.Tough choice between the two. If you need cargo space, hands down the v wins but if it's not, then a 2mpg hit for a much more powerful, larger and luxurious car isn't that bad of a deal.

Just FYI? Piercey was never going to get any v wagons on 10/21.
No one was permitted to remove them from CA ports and drop at CA dealers till 10/24 although we did get ours late last night on 10/23. Perhaps a trucker anxious to get moving dropped a load of wagons yesterday somewhere... but it wasn't cool to do that. Oh well.. it wouldn't have mattered much here because we'd have needed a mechanic to prep it.
