mfd black out and speed odomoter reading too high

    First MFD blacked out. While I am about to order the part on ebay I am noticing traffic is passing me and I am reading too high. Downloaded an app and it is reading about 20mph too fast.

    I have not seen in any literature yet that the MFD messed with the speed odometer. Does anyone understand this problem? Will replacing the MFD unit sink everything back into order?

    In my haste I had switched the odometer to KM. So I went down for a diagnostic and discovered this. I was glad I went for diagnostic because none of this literature tells you to check the fuse first. I still need to replace mfd but that step was missing. Dealership wanted 125 for diagnostic. Japanese mechanic was going to do it for free so I tipped 20.
