What pressure should I run these at for winter driving for max fuel economy and decent comfort. I think they are rated at 51 psi.

Generally speaking, in order for winter tires to be effective at what they were designed for, slightly lower pressure would be ideal, so they grab better. Too stiff and they won't be as effective. I'd say 35-40 would be sufficient. Anything more than 40 and you're kind of defeating the purpose. They're meant to be softer. Hope this helps.

I've running them 48/46. Temps in the 40's mostly. On my trip (on dry pavement) to Minnesota this week, as temperatures will drop into the teens and twenties, pressure will automatically drop lower anyway, and I won't have to mess with adding air.

Travel safe to Minny. Weather looks good here. Chilly, but peaceful. Take care, and Happy Thanksgiving!

Averaged 45 mpg on trip. Temp mostly in 20's and 30s. Ran at 60-75 mph.

I've got our X-Ice2 at around 45 psi. They seem a little firm though, I may just let the expected dropping temps lower the pressure for me, a bit.

(Oh, just noticed: you're using the same strategy, lol: letting falling temps do your work.)
