    I've long been fascinated by microclimate effects. Certainly the "urban heat island" is an anthro-effect no one denies. So late last night, I took a peek at the IR, weather satellite map over the upper midwest and was pleased to see correlation with the current oil pump, flare gas region.

    You dump significant heat and IR satellites should see it.
