I don’t see RFID in the keyfob. It looks like keyfob plastic cover was swapped but RFID forgotten in the old case. The keyfob works except when I insert it into dash slot. When it’s inserted, the car won’t start.

What are my options to duplicate my key?

    Thanks!!

Do you have another key? If not you have to get a new key programmed at a dealer. If you have another key with the chip you can buy a new key fob and do the chicken dance.

I think these guys will sell you the bare chip that you can fit back into the empty spot in your plastic cover where the chip is supposed to be. :)

Then, assuming you do have one other fob that contains its chip and is recognized by the car, you should be able to go through the procedure to teach the car to recognize the new chip.
