    Hello All,

For some time I've been having problems with my 06 Prius, low mpg, a bit sluggish, the battery fan running constantly, and a couple weeks ago the dash lights came on. I read my 12v with voltmeter and then ran the engine with the same, all seems good there.

Had the codes pulled and one of the modules is bad. Due to money I'd like to repair it myself, my husband and I do lots of diy repairs and have both done electrical work before. One thing I'm wondering is, can I replace any bad modules with good Gen III modules or would I need to replace all of them at that point? Thanks.

I had this question answered the other day. You can mix gen2 and gen3 cells in one battery pack. But you should replace them in blocks, groups of 2 modules together.

    SM-N900P ?
