Has anyone modded the Toyota badge/emblem on their v yet? I'm thinking about changing the one on the rear to once of those 3D LED ones I've seen online. I'm just wondering if anyone has posted a video or has any advice after having done it. Also, if anyone knows if it is legal to do in CA =)

    Thanks in Advance!

No, this is first to hear about it. Interesting though.

There was a thread about this a while back, the poster was making the rear v badges with blue LED lighting.

that would be a nice add on :), just got a prius v ( lowercase v ) Five and i made simple mods, put on F1 type brake light, put 4D carbon fiber on hood window panels and the black railing on roof and part of the rear spoiler, side black trim lining and lastly 4 COB led cool white DRL and it looks very different :) WP_20141104_15_04_44_Pro.jpg WP_20141104_15_05_00_Pro.jpg WP_20141104_15_05_48_Pro.jpg WP_20141104_15_04_44_Pro.jpg WP_20141104_15_05_00_Pro.jpg WP_20141104_15_05_48_Pro.jpg

I modded my emblem. When I had the car painted Habenero, I had the body shop remove the factory emblem and fill in the hole. Then I bought a black emblem sticker and placed it where the old emblem was, and then had the 3M paint protection film applied over it, came out really good. I did the same to the rear minus the paint protection film. DSC_0084 (Medium).JPG

"...blue LED lights." Blue lights on the front or rear of cars are illegal in most states B/C blue lighting is reserved for law enforcement.

Those DLRs look awesome. Been wanting to add something to my v because the North American prius v 5 tech package doesn't come with it (although I assumed it did since I got the safety package as well).

How did you set that up and did you include a switch or is it always on when you turn on your car? Did it affect battery life etc? Thanks!
