Model T more fuel economic than today's SUVs?

    The term "fuel efficient" is incorrect, not the mention inaccurate. What they mean is that the Model T was more fuel economic than today's SUVs. It's hilarious though, to see Chrysler all in a lather over the suggestion that their fleet of brand new shiny gas guzzlers are less fuel economic than a car built almost a hundred years ago. :lol:

    Yes, Mr Vines was being rather obtuse in his musings on how different the brand new gas guzzlers are from the Model T but he missed the point entirely. Considering that the Model T got between 13 and 21 mpg, I'd say that the observation that the fuel economy of today's SUVs is as bad or even worse than the Model T's is entirely accurate.
