Sorry if this is in the wrong section...was thinking this might go in the marketplace thread but not too sure...

So I'm in the market for a III w/solar and was wondering what the monthly payments are from some of the owners here.

I'm wondering if there's anyone paying between $400-50....maybe lower.

    Thanks. :)

Finance with Toyota...$0 down. I'm just going buy the payment calculator on the dealer's website. I thought $450 sounded low because I'm thinking this package would come out to around $27-28,000?

Truecar shows a great deal would be under $26,661.

I'm not sure this is a useful question. It depends on the terms and length of the loan.

One shouldn't buy nor shop for cars by "monthly payment" anyway.

I just bought a III with Solar a week ago. Got it for invoice which was 26k and change, plus taxes and gap insurance, ended up financing like $29,300 with 0 down and 0.0% APR. Payments are going to be $489 a month.

I know it depends on the financing. I'm basing the monthly right now assuming 0-2.9% for 36-60 months with nothing down. It usually gives away how much the total was...at least I think it does :/

i have been offered over $4,000. off msrp on a II or a III. if the solar is rare, they might not be willing to go as low. but, around here, there are a lot of 2010's gathering dust on the dealer's lots. if you put nothing down and 0% financing, it's a simple calculation of purchase price divided by the number of months you want to finance for. ex.: $24,000. purchase price over 60 months = $400./mo.+tax

    0% for 60 months?

    Doubtful.

You!re not going to get a solar package for $26k, or under.

I was thinking the same. Maybe of it were just a base III but the solar package adds quite a bit. I would think $28-29k would be final cost. There are quite a few IIIs with solar though

In the IV, they bundle the solar with nav. You can get the nave without the solar, but not the other way around. I bought mine more than a year ago, and that bundle added about $4,200. But I don't know about the III. Do they also bundle the nav with the solar? If so, I would expect
the price has to be close to $27 (min), for the III. Maybe even approaching $28K?

Yes they also bundle the nav along with the solar. I think it's a terrible idea and their way of getting more money...especially since I've been reading that the navigation system is terrible.

I wouldn't call the nav as terrible. There certainly are better after-market nav's, but it seems to work fine for me. I don't have any major complaints.

That's good. Do you live in a big city? I've read the nav works fine in the major cities.

msrp is 28K. if there are quite a few around, i would think you could get it for 23-24.

    Just bought one!

    Here are the specs.

    Prius 3 MSRP 23,800

    Option prices

    Blizzard Pearl Paint - 220

Solar Roof Package - 3830.00 Includes NAV and JBL system Backup Camera

    Destination - 775

    Total 28,625

Mine also had a Southeast Toyota 699 sticker (Non-Dealer) which is regional.

Various junk like window etching but it has rental car and towing.

So My MSRP from Toyota is now 29324.

Using 28625 + 2000 tax = 30625 with zero down financing @ Zero percent = 510 a month or so at FULL MSRP.

Take about $16 per month off the payment for every 1 Thousand Dollars you negotiate lower then this sticker.

    Here's a quote from a recent offer:

"Your Total OTD is 28586.15. With $1000 down and $1000 down payment assistance, your payment is 60 x 464.83 at 1.9% interest.

The window tint is already on the vehicle. It is a medium level tint on the rear 3 windows. Our protection package includes Nitrogen filled tires, Lens Saver product on Headlamps and taillamps, door edge guards, and interior protectant. It is a $588 package that is included. I will show you in more detail when you come in."

Now the tint, nitrogen filled tires, and all the little stuff was already added to the car.

What do you guys think of the price? The car itself is $25,798.

Different regions have different incentives...lucky for you! I verified with local dealers and in fact the 0% for 60 months was an error in my area....terrible terrible news :(
