This week my husband had to drive to Sudbury -- about 4 hours from here -- for a conference. He's now on his return journey and about an hour away from home.

On the way up to Sudbury it was hot (ergo air conditioning needed), there were some crosswinds, and he took a road where the average speed was around 100 kph. By the time he got to Sudbury, the screen showed 5L/100km (47 mpg).

Today it is much cooler, there are no crosswinds, and he has been taking a couple of roads where the average speed was 80 to 90 kph. It's now down to 4.2 L/100 km (56 mpg). :) We've never seen it that low before.

I wonder if there is an altitude difference between the two cities, and if so, whether it affected our stats. We'll have to check it out.

Anyways, woohoo! We love this car!
