MPG in EV Mode

    Does the standard Prius (non-PiP), calculate a real MPGe number in the background, base on current pull, for average MPG calculation, or does it just "assume" that it is 99.9 MPG and use that figure for averaging?

    Or, is averaging simply done by dividing the distance by the amount of fuel metered in that time period?

    I'm pretty sure it assumes EV is infinite MPG and simply averages like you stated.

    distance divided by fuel. any electricity is ultimately created by burning gas.
