Lately we have been doing some trips.
We are re-filling ~1o.o gals gasoline each time, and we are getting ~460 miles per tankful so that is ~46 MPG on my excel calc spreadsheet.

However, the MFD display tends to be showing a nice-to-see 50 MPG average. But sometimes after gaso fill-ups and hitting Reset, the MFD display ticks immediately down to 46-47 which seems to be a disappointing sudden loss of MPG, but on sencond thought, the 46-47 figure is closer to the calc number.

So I am thinking the MFD display may have a tendency to shift MPG read-out for unknown technical reasons?

its calculation is based on some gas intake, not from actual consumption/lowered gas level in the tank
