I noticed that Lums Toyota in Warrenton Oregon has a white
2012 Prius V. The sticker states 44 - 40 mpg, and I believe a 42 mpg average over the Prius 50 mpg average. Price is about $28,000.

It seems that just is too big a drop in MPG to warrant my purchasing one. If it received the same or even more MPG than
my current Prius I would buy it.

The new 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid gets nearly that MPG and accelerates from 0 - 60 in about 7 seconds.

I am keeping my Prius for now, I like 50 mpg and we have plenty of room.

The 2012 Camry Hybrid uses the pseudo-atkinsonized 2.5L 2AR-FXE engine.

It has a lower Cd (~0.27) than the Prius v (0.29).

It probably has a smaller reference area, though I can't say for sure. However it weighs more.

Still, I am puzzled and impressed by the Camry Hybrid's fuel economy. I really think they will sell a lot of Camry hybrids.
