I have a 2001 and can leave the MPG accumulator on for months - kind of a life to date MPG monitor. With the 2004 it resets after each fillup. Can this be turned off? (Like the beeping in Reverse.) Thanks!

You're not waiting long enough. Start driving, watch the fuel guage. It will hit the 'full' mark, then a few seconds later the MFD display will reset....This takes about 30 seconds or so for the entire process.

Interestingly, if you are not moving the fuel guage will still register 'full', but the MFD won't reset until you start moving again.
