Is there a way to switch between life time mpg and current mpg? What I mean is, after filling up if I press the reset button the mpg and miles traveled resets to zero. Is there a button to show the life time mileage or is it gone forever when the reset button is pressed?

    It's one or the other.
I keep track of my lifetime MPG with a spreadsheet.
I enter total miles / total gallons purchased.
    Hope This Helps.

Once the MFD MPG is reset there is no way of getting historical data back on it. You can keep track in a spreadsheet or web-sites designed to keep track of such data.

NYPrius, I do the same in calculating lifetime MPG.

But, since my calculated MPG for each tank is always slightly lower than the MFD-shown MPG for that tank, then I suppose that my calculated lifetime MPG would come out slightly lower than the MFD-generated lifetime MPG.

Won't lose any sleep over it ...
