mpg US v Imperial

    Hi folks,
    I was a bit confused when reading some of the US reports, until I realised the US items were referring to US Gallons!
    I hope that the following info is of some help.

    The following conversions apply:

    Imperial (British) Gallons
    L/100km = 282.5/mpg
    mpg = 282.5/[L/100km]

    US Gallons
    L/100km = 235.2/mpg
    mpg = 235.2/[L/100km]

    So, 5L/100km = 56.5mpg(Imp) = 47mpg(US)
