As a small service for non-metric and metric PC users alike - attached a table/chart to see the equivalence between MPG, L/100km and km/L.

I could - but why? there are no cars out there that can actually do 200mpg - let alone consistently 100mpg - I still have to see the average real-life mpg of a Volt or a Prius plug-in...
Do you reckon really that 100mpg is not enough?

I think some plug-in's achieve greater than 200 mpg (counting gas only, not counting the gasoline equivalent of electricity). Even counting in MPGe, you could get over 200 MPGe because if you can get 60-70 mpg in gasoline, you could get > 200 MPGe in electricity.

So - should I expand it all the way up to 0.5L/100km = 470mpg then?

Thanks for the graph, very helpful. Also for the HSI chart in your other posting: over my head but interesting ;)

Here's a quick-and-dirty function for converting between liters per 100 kilometers and US miles per gallon:

Divide either value into 235.214583 (or 235.2, close enough)
