In my 2015 Prius, I recently had to replace my driver side door because someone in a Tesla, crushed my door as I was about to step out of my car. I didn’t have enough money to go to a traditional shop, but the guy at the scrapyard helped me out with installing the door. Unfortunately, he didn’t take note of what color Wire went into what color plug For the dealer alarm.

There are four wires that tap into four plugs. The plugs are not color coded, I cannot find any documentation for the alarm system that is beneficial to me.

    Here’s what I know:
    Alarm: Rockledge
    Number of wires: 4
It seems that the alarm is receiving power, even if none of these wires are plugged in.

I think that the large black wire must be ground, correct?

The larger, red wire, I assume would be power, but that doesn’t explain why the Blinky light stays on even if the wires are disconnected.

    The remaining wires are…
    Thin medium green, thin purple

    I’m attaching a photo:

before I had to replace my door, my car would honk when I lock and unlock.

I have managed to arrange the wires in such a way that my horn honks once when I lock and once, when I unlock, however, it is not arming the alarm system.

Not sure if there’s also a fuse involved, and I’m not sure if I have to reset my alarm somehow.

Can’t contact the dealer because they went out of business about a month after I got it.

It's always a great day when you a hear that a Toyota Stealership went out of business. They're a bunch of criminals!

Anyways, this is an aftermarket alarm system, not an OEM alarm system. Any car stereo installation business will be able to get it set up for you any way you want.

it was, actually Shift auto, not Toyota. But yeah, they went out of business shortly after I bought it. I actually got a refund check in the mail because they charge me too much for DMV fees. When I tried to cash the check, it bounced. Turns out it bounced because they sent me the check the day after they filed for bankruptcy.

Anyways, I found the 24 seven Hotline for the alarm company.

the guy told me it was out of there, Range of Assistance, but he still helped me out.

The red/orange alarm wire hooks into the black wire.

the dark green alarm wire hooks into the red wire.

The light green alarm wire hooks into the small green wire.

The red wire hooks into the small purple wire.

I asked him if there are any instructions to install a tilt sensor into any of these four wires, and he told me no, that’s not doable. it Hass to be wired elsewhere.

that said, do you or anyone you know have any insight on installing a tilt sensor into this alarm?

If the alarm guy said it's not possible I'd believe 'em. As in, with only 4 wires these are really cheap alarms... If I were in your situation, I'd find out what was the best alarm system that was sold in large amounts 4 or 5 years ago and then buy a used version of that system for cheap on Ebay.

firstly, I apologize for the grammatical and spelling errors. I’m using voice to text and it’s not very intuitive. The guy on the phone told me that this alarm primarily serves as an ignition disabler to prevent the theft from a dealership lot, and not much more than that. When I had my catalytic converter stolen, my dash cam showed that the entire theft took place, and the alarm didn’t go off until after they lowered it back to the pavement. And even then it was just 4 quick honks. I’m in the northwest Los Angeles area, and I’d really appreciate it if anyone would reach out with any info on getting a 507M Tilt sensor installed on the cheap.

You should include the alarm model number and ideally the installation manual if you want free online help. It would help to know where in the car the pic was taken.

However you have provided enough information to determine the alarm you have is worthless, tilt sensor or no tilt sensor. The advice to find a better system is probably the way to get what you want ‘on the cheap’.
