    YEA!!!! :D

This week I averaged 53.0mpg and 438 miles on a tank....I know it is no where near what half of you are getting but this is exciting for me since my last record was ony 51.2mpg and 416 on a tank. and I achieved this with four of us in the car and luggage from two of them. I didn't do anything fancy,I inflated the tires 42/40, filled up with 87 octane from Shell and got on the road. This tank was about 70% highway, two round trips from Pueblo to Wheatridge. I used the cruise control at 70mph the whole way and would occasionally take it up to 75mph.

I have hopes to break this record before the summer is over. :p

Congratulations to the 53 mpg number!

Please try to drive on a country road next long trip going below the 42 mph barrier.
You'll see more than 70 or maybe 80 mpg.

Very cool. I've been averaging about 46mpg on daily commute to work in South Denver, and the car is not broken in yet. The commute is about 7 miles one way. I'm going to take the Prius next month to Iowa for the first road trip so I'm looking forward to seeing what I get on cruise control at about 70-75 mph with A/C, wife, son, and luggage in car. Either way it will be more than 1/2 the cost of taking my wifes SUV.
