This is the first time I got 80 MPG (ScanGaugeII reading) in the morning commute. I used EBH. The trip was 18.5 miles. Outside temp 64 ~ 68 F. Some roads were still slightly damp/wet from the rain from yesterday. SOC was the same in the beginning and at the end of the trip (59.5%). Max speed was 42 MPH and average 24 MPH. I usually get low 70s under similar conditions. The difference may be the max RPM - today was 1655 and I usually get somewhere between 1800 and 2000. Maybe gentler acceleration is better? Or it may just be pure luck: fewer red light stops. ScanGaugeII tank MPG has been within a few percent of the calculated tank MPG in the last few fill-ups.
