ok, it's not my Prius (i'm still waiting), but I still think it is cool. However, I don't expect the same FE as in my future Prius.

Oh wow! That's like every little kid's DREAM!

Are you also responsible for turning on all the lights?

    :)

Wow, that's pretty cool! Do you get to drive it, or just ride along? :)

What is the fuel efficiency of a rig like that? Clearly, it's going to be in the single digits, but I'd be interested to know if it's greater or less than 1 MPG.

Yeah, my dad used to always refer to it as gallons per mile on his fire trucks. Congrats!

Stuff like that is really important, and the folks who do rescue work are worthy of great praise.

But "cool" that truck is not. I'd hate to have to drive something like that. I did drive a dump truck two years running for the sugar beet harvest. It was smaller than that thing, and no fun at all.

Oh! The OP is in Albuquerque! I was there once, and had a balloon ride. Didn't get motion-sick at all. It was fun.

That ballon is mine. That picture was taken last year during the Albuquerque International Balloon fiesta. Here is another picture from White Sands New Mexico.

Well, I think Semis get about 5-6 MPG on the highway so probably somewhere in that ballpark. I'm assuming that that rig's a diesel.

You know, I heard somewhere from someone, that a cruise ship burns up like 90 gallons per mile...
