My poor prius (05) met its match outside of Pittsburgh with a 200lb + buck at 65mph. $9,000 in damage, and yes the insurance co is fixing it. See attachment for pic

    Ouch!

I had one like that and the total was 13K. My advice to you is to have it done at a Toyota dealer. My repair at Green's Toyota in Lexington was near perfect...so far. Only problem was an oil leak from a sensor.

You're very lucky not to have had Bambi end up in the passenger seat with you!
(Most people forget the Bambi was male & eventually grew up to be a buck at the end of the movie, but I digress.)

That's not very nice Prius101. Poor thing.

I am glad you are ok, hope your Prius will be 'like new' when fixed.

I am surprised how seldom the windscreen gets broken in an accident, even a serious one like the one above.

Hope you're ok! I'm near Pittsburgh too and just went through an accident with my silver '04 Prius. Took it to Baierl Body Shop in Wexford and they fixed everything great and within a few weeks. Was about $5000 worth of damage. I'm very glad I had a low deductible.

    Good luck!

    Likewise, glad you are OK!

I just drove up from Delaware to Syracuse the other day, 476N to 81N. I must have seen at least 6-8 major deer kill "splashes" on 81....huge splashes of dried red blood on the road .... Needless to say I drove back a little slower at night.

No venison here. I destroyed that thing. Ripped the rear legs off and shattered the rack. There was a nice 8 pointer laying next to the car where I stopped. I also found 4 additional bucks on the side of the road next to the one I hit. All looked to have been killed in the last few days.
