Born 2008 in Southern California, my Prius, also know as, Slow and Steady (SAS), got around 43.5MPG on average. In 2013 SAS moved to Illinois where average MPG dropped sharply to around 34MPG. SAS got tired of Illinois and decided to move back west landing in Colorado where she has set a new record at 46MPG as of this morning! SAS just loves it here.

Would post image but I am too new.

We took our 07 through CO back in June of 07 (still under 5k miles at the time), and our avg. PA mileage of 48, went to 62.5! Filled up in Denver, and again in Grand Junction, and could only squeeze 4 gallons after 250 miles! Driven a number of vehicles west of the Rockies and they all get far better mpgs than EPA. my 01 Boxster got 31mpgs commuting, the Sienna gets 25 (and that’s almost always with 7 people in it). Looking forward to experiencing double that+ with the Prius (ordering a “new” HV Monday).
