After waiting for over 4 weeks, my sharkfin antenna finally came! It wasn't that difficult to install. A few minutes of measuring for evenness with a tapemeasure, some painter's tape and voila!

And, I decided to get a new personalized plate for my car (I originally got ECOLOGY, but decided to put it on my other car, which is not a hybrid. A Jaguar XJ6 is hardly economical! Hehehe. I'll probably get another Prius later on and have that transferred over). There are so many ways to read this plate. As in GAS is a PAIN....OR, as it applies to what I do (I'm a Nurse Practitioner in PAIN management AND a future Anesthetist. I give GAS to put people to sleep in surgery AND I work in PAIN management) and FINALLY...as one would get after eating too much CABBAGE! Hehehehehe!

Looks good, ordered mine Aug. 21 still not here.
See they are on e-Bay now, shipped out within ten business days.
But they are $15 more than the deal offered here.

I can't tell any difference on the reception. Suits me fine. I love the aerodynamic look it gives the Prius. Yay! :D

Where is your XM Radio cable? So did you disconnect your regular antenna?

The XM wire goes under the antenna base. Make a small groove underneath with a dremmel tool

Vinny, looks good with the shark, and a neat lic plate.
I see you're from Ohio, my home state. I used to live in Allen and Shelby counties.

BobZ, the water really beads up on your wax job.
Do you think there would be room under the shark fin for a GPS antenna?

I run the prep department for a local Cadillac dealer so how would it look if my car was anything less than SPOTLESS. ;) It's Colonite Insulator wax.

As for the GPS antenna. I don't know how big it is. The XM mini antenna I used is about a inch and a half square. This had a little room to spare.
