My stock radio head unit keeps restarting every 34 seconds

    I have a 2012 Toyota Prius V two that has the stock head unit without navigation, and the head unit started to reboot every 34 seconds and it is driving me insane. I bought the car used, and this didn’t start happening until recently (after 500 miles) please help. Also if I swapped out the head unit, would I lose all of the vehicle diagnostic screens and would it solve the intermittent radio? Thanks in advance for any answers.

    We had this happen on our 2012 v Five (Display Nav, without JBL) exactly once, a year ago, on an extremely hot day. Hasn't re-occurred.
