My ZVW30R-AHXEBW (Mk III Prius, RH drive) has an unusual wing mirror connector

    Hi All,

    I damaged my LH passenger wing mirror recently (the closing limit sensor and part of the black plastic surround) so went to replace it with a part from eBay. My mechanic went to fit it, but found the connector doesn't match. I can't find any mirrors that look the same and have the same connector. What might have happened here? Does anyone recognise the connector?

    You can take the mirror apart and swap out the internals.

    Interesting idea, but there are at least three issues with it:
    1) I'd like to know why my car has this odd fitting
    2) The internals may not fit within the replacement shell if the differences are greater than just the connector
    3) The internals are damaged, i.e. the sensor that stops the mirror when it unfolds doesn't work, so the mirror unfolds too far. I can work around this, but would rather have a mirror that folds properly

    Thanks for the suggestion, though.
