NAV: finding POIs "on the way"

    When you have set a destination in NAV, is there a way to locate a bank or something that's specifically "on the way"? Thanks.

    You can only do it if you search by category, then you select what you want, hit "List", hit "On route" and it will show you only those on route.

    It's a shame it can't do it when you type in something's name.

    The other way, after you are driving is to ask the nav to show "banks" and it will show those that are nearby. You can touch any of these and get their names and if desired, add them to your route while you are moving.

    It can do a category item 'on the way' if you are currently being directed to a programmed destination. Otherwise, how does it know what is 'on the way'? If you don't have a destination programmed, you can list in distance order, which will show distance and direction, though probably as the crow flies.
