:) At best, the "Navigation System Owner's Manual" is confusing. There is an online DVD instruction for the Lexus NAV system - the same system as the Prius. The only difference is different positions for the dashboard buttons.

This works best if you have a high-speed internet connection.

Huh. I've been using it for over a year now, and I never knew that pressing and HOLDING the Guide button gave a walkthrough of the selected route. I've got to try that soon...

In case anyone cares, my best guess is that the route preview plays back at about 60MPH, since a mile seemed to go by every minute or so. Hardly suitable for a long route, unless I need to go back to the tutorial to find a way to speed it up...

Thanks Charles. I don't have a nav but that tutorial was useful in understanding how it works and how to use the features.

I still have to do this myself, but in a similar thread it was mentioned that the route preview CAN be sped up (or slowed) by using the Zoom buttons on the screen (with the spyglass and the + or -). Hope this helps.

And you can press the forward or back button a second time to fast-wind too.

Since I don't have a Prius with Nav but deal with it at work, having a good place to learn is helpful. I saw it posted in other threads and just now Bookmarked it to view later. Thanks,
