Nav wont recalulate route when don't follow initial directions

    I have an 05 Prius with the Blue Tooth/Navigation option and just last month the navigation computer started giving me issues. I will enter a destination and the computer sets up route but if I decide to take a different route (i.e. shortcut to the freeway), the computer will not update the route to accomodate my new location. The only way I can get directions from the nav system is if I get back to the original planned route.

    Has anyone experienced this issue before? Are there any know fixes? I don't really want to go into the service center just for this issue since I'm not due for my next servicing until december.

    Have you checked to see if the settings have changed? In the setup area you have to select "auto reroute" (or something similar).

    Also, did you enable guidance at the start of the route?
