Navigation Update Questions

    Some quick questions:

    1) I have a 2004 Prius. Quick research shows that this is a Gen4 system, so any Toyota / Lexus gen4 update will work. Can someone confirm this?

    2) Is there any place I can look online for the part numbers of DVD updates for the 2004 Prius?

    3) Is there any source of previous version DVDs for cheap? I don't need 6.1, I just want something newer than what we have now. It's missing some key streets in our area which can affect the accuracy of driving directions.

    Make sure you get one for the 2004-2005 Prius. The 2006+ won't work as the MFD is at a higher resolution.

    I would check eBay from time to time. There have been some from time to time. What version do you have now? Remember, if you get version 6.1, you lose the override trick (unless you make a custom DVD with 6.1 information and a 5.1 [or 4.2] startup).

    Yeah, I think the 2006+ is the Gen5...wanting some confirmation here though. I'm not really using the override trick right now, but I guess I might want to in the future. Thanks for the info.

    Right now I have 4.2, so I guess I can do the hybrid disc thing if I need to.
