My son got every icon in the nav system to appear on the screen (resturant, McDonalds, Gas, etc). I cant figure out how to not have them all displayed. When you look at chosen icons in POI,s none are in list???

 Press the "mic" button on the steering wheel right side and speak "NO P-O-I" after you see the "mic" icon at the top of the display screen. If you're successful, she will respond and no POI icons will show.

As you've probably already discovered, verbal commands can be tricky but this one almost always works for me. I named my Prius "Ernestine" after Lili Tomlin's telephone operator character since her responses to verbal requests are sometimes completely innane and frequently humourous. GEEZ.... If get a Bluetooth cellphone, maybe she woiuld respond "One Ringie-Dingie... Two Ringie-Dingies"...

If you get the Nav upgrade, it should (but it doesn't) change to

"White House, this is Debbie - is this the country to whom I am speaking?"

    [snort] Many good memories.

On topic, the voice command "P O I Off" works for me, and the Nav lady says the same back to me. I agree with Evan that hesitating while speaking is not as effective as letting allthewords flow together.

Not that is a ring tone that I would be willing to buy!

    I've found that " P O I" is enough.

    The raw materials are online.

I've also converted the file to a 32kbps MP3 which works fine as a ringtone with my Motorola V551. It should be attached to this posting.

    Enjoy!

Thanks for the help, but every time I say "No POI' she responds with adding something (like hotels, etc). Apparently no doesn't mean no.

Thanks!! Now all I have to do is find a way to get it on to V710. Plays nicely in iTunes though.

P-O-I Off is my most reliable voice command.
