Just bought our prius and can not wear my hair in ponytail or bun with clip since it knifes me in the back of my head. Is there a "U" shaped headrest? I have to take my hair down everytime I drive and put a clip in it when I get out...major bummer. No, it doesn't make any difference what height the headrest is:(

i fold up two towels and hang them over the headrest. leaving enough space between them for a ponytail and/or hairclip.

I take it you are using two hand towels and roll them into "burrito rolls" and lop them over the top. Question: Then do you sew the ends together at bottom like a circle and slide on or how do you keep them from going all over the place? Sounds workable...ugly but ugly is better than the headrest feeling like knife on the back of your head thanks

A small travel pillow might work. I bought a U-shaped version at an airport for not much money, and it's quite comfortable. I can't say I've tried it with a ponytail, though.

I live in my pony tail so I always wear it a little higher when I'm driving.
When I first got the car I hated the headrests. Now it's not so bad.
