All though the Prius is new to me this is our 3rd hybrid.
05 HCH, never really loved it but it was a OK car (48.5avg over 32,627)
07 FEH, loved it but hated the drop in mileage from the HCH (31.5avg over 40,704)
09 Pk#2, the car we wanted form day one. When we bought the HCH they wouldn't even let us sit in one so we ended it with the HCH. They were available when we bought the FEH but for some reason we didn't even look. But now......
Man we like this car, it is everything we dreamed it would be. It is SO much more advanced then the other two it is crazy, the other two might as well be a 70 model _____ in comparison.
The dealer gave it to us for 3 days to drive/decide before we bought it, 55.1MPG avg using the abused 26 miles that was on it before us made the decision easy. So far after the dealer topping it off we have driven 210 miles and the avg says 58MPG. The impressive part (to me at least) is we live in the hilliest area in TX, not a flat spot including my driveway.

I think we got a good deal, if not I was happy with it:
$25,000 out the door PK#2 with:
    72/100,00 warranty (no deductible)
    Oil Changes For Life
    Bumper Protector
    Floor mats
    Mud Flaps
    Tint

Hello, welcome to PC. I was going to say that 48.5 on the HCH is very impressive, why replace it. But then I read that you're in TX, so yeah expect even better from the Prius. Glad to hear you're enjoying your new car. What did you do with the FEH? Trade in?

It was a good car (HCH), if we hadn't made so many long trips it would have been higher. When we lived S of Austin I could get mid 50's but the trips killed it.
They actually gave me what I owed on it so I couldn't resist the tax savings. We were going to keep it but didn't "need" to so traded it.
