New 12v Battery, FOB Stopped Working, Changed Fob Batt, Wont Remote open

    Just changed out the 12v battery for a new OEM. Old one was from 2013. Today the key FOB stopped working. No door openings or locks and car would only start with fob installed. Changed it out and now the remote open will work with touching the door handle (as well as locking) and car will start with key in my pocket, but the buttons on the FOB will not lock and unlock. Stumped. Played around with the remote button under the steering wheels and regardless of position it doesn't seem to change anything. Stumped.

    For some reason everything is now working. Not sure why or how to delete this thread but if someone else wants to....
