Last fall I ordered a 2006 Toyota Prius from our local Toyota dealer. I paid the standard $500 down payment and was told it would be here sometime in 2006.

Since that time, my wife and I have found out that we're expecting twins. With our 4-year-old, there would be no way to get all 3 kids in the back seat of the Prius. So, I am unable to get this car.

But ... it is on its way and will be here in the next week or two.

If you are interested in a black 2006 Prius with Option Package #8 (everything) and don't want to wait several months for one to come in -- please contact me.

I'm not looking to make any kind of profit off this deal. I just ask that you pay me the original $500 deposit (which the dealer will deduct off the final purchase price) and you can arrange the rest with the dealer.

The car will be delivered to South Dakota.

Please contact me by email at jeffrey @ bluewiretech.net

Your dealer should refund your deposit and be able to sell it to the next person in line.

    PS congrats on the twins

I thought the same thing. When I went in to order it they were bragging about how they never have one on the lot for over a week. Yet sadly they are unwilling to refund my deposit.

    REALLY??
I'm not even sure it is legal for them to keep your money.
Did they say it was non-refundable?

    That's just bad business.
Do they know that you post on an internet site read by thousands of their potential customers? ;)

Did you put it on a credit card? If you did, you can probably challenge it.

You could also call Toyota's customer relations.
I think they'd likely give the dealer the stinkeye!

Also, ask to speak directly with the sales and/or general managers. ;)
