    Hi Guys!!

I came across 2 2013 P3s. That's hard to believe. One Silver the other BP.
The BP has the Xsp package, the Silver with the 17" forged alloys and leather.
I am looking to pull the trigger on one of them but one of my main concern is the traction battery.
The battery is already 2 years old!!!
I don't know if the dealer was diligent in keeping it charged.
    Should I be concerned?
Any suggestions on the % depreciation I should negotiate into the sale?

    Thanks for your input!

...should I be concerned if I buy this vehicle....both batteries are already 2 years old without any frequent recharging! Doesn't the battery deteriorate when it is not charged? Any thoughts from the gang on this?

if it starts, it's fine. can't imagine what you would offer though, that's a lot of sitting' around! you might want a new 12v installed.

Should not be a problem with the traction battery, they will hold a charge for at least a year. The 12V battery may be damaged if it was allowed to get below 50% charge and remained that way for a time.

The dealerships have instructions to start/ready the car every few months to charge the traction (and 12V) battery. The question is if they really do it.

Purchase it contingent upon a new 12V battery and an otherwise clean bill of health. Insist that you be able to watch the mechanic perform the tests and see the results. There are numerous posts here about what readings a new hybrid battery should have. If they are unwilling to do that, walk away. I can't see why a reputable dealer anxious to sell a healthy car WOULDN'T do this.

What are they asking for them?
