Hello Alls, I have been busy lately but finally made an account. First time owner of a Prius plug in and had to go through hell to get one. Shortages and tried hard to get the $4500 tax credit, but ran though a chain of unbelievable BS. So much so that you would think some mystical power was straight against it. The car came weeks earlier then scheduled. When they got the car they didnt call me till later. They left me a missed call and message and the damn kid had my phone at the time and didnt let me know. By the time I found out I rushed there and found that my credit score is great but its frozen. Since I was part of the Experian Hack I froze my credit years ago. So I had to rush back home and try to undo it with accounts I have not used in a while. I got all except one. I tried to call and missed them by 20 minutes!. I tried their website to reset the password so I can do it and of course it failed. The next day I had to fly out for vacation and they told me they will try to hold it for when I get back, but nope. They sold it, even though I put the $500 down a week earlier. When I got back from vacation I looked around and decided to go for the yellow version. Since that was far away I had to go through hoops on that and the damn sales guys was so bad and tried to charge me $5K more. I went over his head and delt with a mgr there and got it all done with. Needless to say it was one hell of a few weeks, but its a great car. Had to shut off some of the safety BS, but tons of power and looks great. Only real issues I have is it needs to be dropped an inch. I dont want it too low, but it feels too high up and almost wobbles. I think I could get away with just adding some springs and leave the shocks and struts alone. The other issue more is a thing that bugs me.. I found out that Prius plugin for many years had the option to force charge the battery anytime. Having those 120v socket is great , but now out of the blue in a mid year, damn Toyota has removed it. Granted I know its not efficient but it was something allot of people used for certain situations. Now its gone and the sad part is none of the dealers I talk to know anything about it or even the feature. Then I got hold of ToyotaUSA and they only read stuff from the car manual. They seem to have no tech or anyone to talk to about a feature being moved or taken away.. I was hoping to see if it can be enabled again (maybe at the dealers) but who knows.. I will say those it does give better EV range then my other Hybrid..
