New 7 Wonders of the World

I know what they'll be:

1. Wal-Mart
2. McDonald's
3. Starbuck's
4. Blockbuster
5. KFC
6. Subway
7. Home Depot

 

I'm a traditionalist. I still think the Pyramids should be on the list. Honorary is OK but you're still voting for 7 others. It should be Pyramids and 6 others.

At least a new list allows the addition of the Taj Majal, Great Wall of China and the Eiffel Tower. Whether they make it is another thing. I'm glad all of the "my office building is taller than your office building" examples are absent. I think the few more modern candidates (Sydney Opera House and Neuschwanstein) deserve to be on the list for voting. I also like that the list is more multi-cultural and multi-era, although there are an awful lot of ancient sites listed.
