I have converted and sold these Honda EU2200i inverter generators for a few years now and mostly sold them through craigslist. I just now realized there might be some interest for those who camp with their Prius.

I am unable to ship this, so would be a local purchase in North Carolina.

This is a new, Honda EU2200i inverter generator that can run on gas, propane, or natural gas. Just connect it to your BBQ tank or natural gas outlet.

It is rated at 2200-Watt and 120-Volt.

    Super Quiet & Portable

Propane can be stored much, much longer than gas and doesn't have the headache of ethanol in gas that can clog up carburetors.

This generator was taken out of the box to install the tri-fuel conversion kit. It has never been run nor does it have oil in it. Do not start it until oil has been added.

    Propane tank not included.

    Cash Only.

What is the run time on a 20 lb propane bottle on eco throttle? Thanks.

Thanks. Does the tri-fuel setup affect the Honda warranty?

The tri-fuel conversion voids the warranty.

Does this have a safety valve to stop the gas if the generator stops?

The demand regulator on the regulator assembly works off a vacuum signal from the engine and will stop fuel flow if the engine is off, but you shouldn’t rely on that if you are looking to turn off the flow of fuel.

Good to know. We have one of those Hondas in stock form. We also have a larger generator that was set for dual fuel from the factory, and it includes an electric solenoid valve to cut the propane if the generator stops for any reason.

Having both made me think to ask.

I am looking to buy a dual fuel gasoline and propane generator, but the ones available don't give me the confidence of a Honda.
My intention is to keep it as an emergency power to run fridge, some fans in summer and furnace in winter when the power fails.
Would you mind to let me know how to install one of these kits?

Did our Honda 240v model 6500 years ago. The downside of propane & natural gas is you lose around 20% power as the fuel doesn't have as much energy. But the upside is you could still charge a car w/ up to 5KW. Not so with a puny 120 volt setup. Still 120v better than nothingbin emergency. Upside of alt fuels is the exhaust is slightly less toxic. We use a stainless flex line to vent exhaust out of the garage during freezing temps. If you put a large load on a generator for extended time using propane - you really need to have at least one 100Lb tank. Little barbecue tnks get eaten up really quick - even using it for a 30,000 BTU gas heater.
