NEW OWNER HIT & RUN

    I JUST BOUGHT A USED 2001 PRIUS AND AM SO HAPPY TO NOT HAVE TO PAY THOSE GAS PRICES ALTHOUGH I HAVE ONLY HAD MY CAR FOR TWO WEEKS AND SOMEONE HIT THE DRIVERS SIDE BUMBER PRETTY HARD AND TOOK OFF I WAS VERY UPSET BUT I JUST FOUND OUT THERE WERE 4 WITNESSES AND I AM GOING TO NAIL HIM NOW... IS THERE ANYTHING I SHOULD KNOW TO HAVE CHECKED OUT BECAUSE I AM A NEW OWNER? PLEASE ADVISE! THANKS..

    I'm assuming that you have already reported the incident to the police.

    I'm hoping the police obtained the names, addresses and statements of all witnesses, incorporated the same in the accident report, gave you a copy of the report, and the police are attempting to locate (or have located) the driver of the other vehicle.

    If you were in the vehicle and believe you were in any way injured, consult an attorney immediately.

    you should take your car to a dealer and have them determine what should be looked at.

    yes i have notified the police and my insurace company and going to the dealership on monday i just wanted to know for my peace of mind. thank you for all your imput.
