    Hi all,

We recently purchased a used salvaged 2007 Prius as a daily commuter car. It has been great car so far. It is a Super White Option Package #5 model and has 106000 miles on the odometer. It was advertised as a "Touring" model, but I do not believe it is going by the tire size sticker on the door frame.

I have enjoyed reading all the tips here on the forum. Those tips along with the Bentley book have really helped me perform some maintenance, get to know the car, and hopefully have the car trouble free for a long period.

So far I have performed the following preventative care while driving the car everyday for about 2 weeks:

Oil change - 5W30 conventional and a Purolator filter
Cabin air filter - The old one was really gross.
Transaxle fluid change- Toyota ATF WS
    Plugs change - Denso SK16R11
Confirmed that the inverter coolant pump recall was performed.

We are averaging 49.8 mpg which is awesome considering we have stopped daily use of a 15 mpg F-150 in the process.

Thanks again to the forum for all the information.

    Bobby

After the big 9 degree weather event here in SC, my 12volt battery died. Upon replacement I did notice that the old battery was the original 2007 battery. 6 years was a good run on the original battery.

    Loving the prius.

I just crossed 150000 miles. The Prius has been awesome. Just routine oil changes. I am close to needing new tires.
