What does the group think of the pricing of $9,900 for a Toyota Prius 2012 IV with 133,072 miles and a solar roof? Anything I should watch out for or be cautious of?

Vin is JTDKN3DU7C1507680. I guess I am worried about the mileage... is that something to really be concerned about?

    welcome!
i would check kbb.com for value in your zip code.

as for the mileage, it depends on whether you diy or not.

gen 3 has some potential for major expenses at a dealer or even a good hybrid mech, which can be mitigated by solid diy knowledge and salvage parts.

even low mile gen 3's may be subject to a clogged ear system, and potential oil burning and/or blown head gasket around 100k

Other than no longer offering any warranties (just recalls) seems to be a nice looking car.

The higher mileage is better on the battery than lower mileage, for the most part.

    Any warranty they are offering?
Planning to do any of your own maintenance?
If so, and you keep around the forum, you should be good.

Just check for anything major as for accidents etc.

    bisco meant egr, btw.

We all need our ears cleaned from time to time;).

Much like the egr system :).

Just don’t wait too long in either case(y).
