New Prius Owner from Waterford, MI

    Hello everyone, I purchased my first Prius yesterday. It is a 2007 model with 28,000 miles. I am glad to find this site as it has a ton of good information on it.

    I forgot to mention that I am coming from a 2002 Ford Explorer 4.6L that averaged 13.4mpg in the city.

    Congrats on your new Prius and welcome to the forum. From what little I remember about Waterford, MI you'll enjoy the mpg's and other benefits of your Prius.

    If you have an owner's manual, read it thoroughly.

    And if you don't have the owner's manual for the correct year, buy one from a dealer's parts department and read it. It's full of stuff you need to know.

    Any other "maintenance" (not repair) items suggested by a dealer are just boat payments.
