Hey All! Need some guidance on how to get a green sticker. Do I need my license plate first?

    Thanks!

Yes. My plates arrived about 2 weeks after purchase. I then immediately applied for the green stickers. They arrived about 3 weeks later.

    You make two separate applications.

To apply for the $1,500 rebate, you need to xerox the temporary registration doc that's stickered to your windshield. You also need to send a copy of a utility bill.

To get the green sticker, you need to send the license plate number. You don't have to have the plate itself; my dealer was able to email the plate number to me and that's all I needed. The plates came in the mail a week later. The stickers arrived only a few days after I sent in the application.

When your stickers arrive, apply them with great care: they're designed to destroy themselves if you peel them off, so you need to apply them correctly the first time.
