Now that my Frontier is getting a bit longer in the tooth.. I'm starting to have a more difficult time finding tires for it..not to mention the price per tire is about $150.00 per.. got me wondering-

    1. How hard is it to find tires for the Prius (both sizes)?

    2. How much do they normally run?

I've been buying tires from tirerack.com for years. They have the best prices, and will drop ship to your installer. You can see pricing by selecting a 2010/2011 Prius on their site.

Easy to find and reasonable unless you go with michelins. Prices online are about 80-100 dollars. Shipping and install add about 50 each -- maybe more. Local tire shops have them - call and ask.

I got a set of Nokian i3s for $250 shipped. I have over 70k miles on them. They still have about 5/10 tread left.

Forgot to mention about tire/wheel rotation. The tire/wheel combo is very light (about 32 lbs each) that you can do it yourself easily.

Go to tirerack.com It will ask for the model and year of your car and show you all your options. It will show what the rims look like on your car. You can even change the color of your car on line. Great company.

Walmart has Goodyear Viva Authority Max for $85 each, if all you need in a low rolling resistance tire is that it be round.

Thanks for the info.. I just got a great deal on some "economy" tires from Michellin.. for about $600.00 for all 4 tires..

Nice to see that the "top of the line' tires for the Prius are only about $350.00..

I have these as well and am incredibly happy with them. Mileage did not dip when installed and they handle very well. Here in Philly we got about a foot of snow a couple of days ago - they handle very well in the snow. If these are still being sold when I next need tires I will get them again.

I think that 4 tires installed, an oil change and tax was just under $350.

Good to hear, living in Mississippi I am unlikely to test them in snow, but I like the mileage!
