This is my first post. I bought my 2013 v last July with 26k miles. It had two new Toyo and two original Toyo tires. The car now has right at 50k miles.

Last week, I hydroplaned badly on I-75. The original tires were at 3-4/32 and in the front. So, I researched for a complete new set of tires.

My local dealer, Nicholasville Toyota, has a special. If you buy 3 tires, you get the forth for $1!!! So I bought a set of Michelin Premier.

Right out of the parking lot, I noticed how smooth they were. Then up to 55 mph, I actually heard wind noise that I have never heard over the roar of the Toyo tires. They have been sure footed in the rain.

Now to get the TRD rear sway bar.

I can’t wait to drive my v now.

Tread depth matters enormously in the wet wet conditions.

    From tirerack tests:

The difference between a new tire and one worn down to 2/32 (legal limit in many states) in a test on a water soaked surface was an almost doubling of stopping distance! 4/32 deep tires took about 50% longer to stop than new tires.

    New - 195 feet

    4/32 - 290 feet

    2/32 - 378 feet
