New York State form IT-253

    I just printed out the Federal tax form 8910, which has been updated for 2006 returns. You can go to to:

    I also printed out New York State form IT-253 and it's instructions. BAD NEWS! It plainly states in the first paragraph of the instructions that the allowance for alternate fueled vehicles is no longer valid. Go to:

    Does anybody have any later info on this topic? This is a case where I would love to be wrong!

    Does anybody know if New York allows a deduction for sales tax spent on a hybrid vehicle?
