Newbie - 10 days w/ new used 2014 Prius Two

    This morning, as I was pulling into our garage, the engine stopped and I couldn’t move the car forward or backward. Granted...the hybrid engine was working fine but the gas engine wouldn’t kick in. In addition, I received a message that said “engine transfer fail”. Have you ever seen this? Just worried because I don’t want that to happen to me at a light. Thanks for any insight you may be able provide.

    no, i have never heard of that. you need to have the trouble codes read.

    if the car wouldn't move, how do you know the hybrid engine was working?
