newbie radio question

    Is it possible to enter a radio station's call letters manually?
    Or they only broadcast by the station?

    That is included with the signal sent out from the radio station if they have the technology.

    You can see them by hitting the message button, when your sitting/ not moving

    I don't think it's possible to enter then manually. Though I would like to do so as the local PBR station (WBUR) doesn't send RDS information so they don't get a name.
